Keep the parameters of tight edge discharge port unchanged

Keep "full" operation as long as possible

Ensure proper feeding

Ensure uniform feeding

The reasonable use of buffer bin / hopper and variable speed feeding device (conveyor belt, plate vibration feeder) can make the operating personnel keep the cone crusher "full" state for a long time, and easily increase its output by 10%.

Ensure operation within the upper limit of crusher design

If the operation of cone crusher exceeds the upper limit of crushing force (adjusting ring runout) or the rated power, you can: slightly increase the parameters of tight edge discharge port, and try to ensure the "full cavity" operation. The advantage of "full chamber" operation is that there will be a stone beating process in the crushing chamber, so that the product grain shape can be maintained when the discharge port is slightly large; or the feeding rate can be reduced, but it may be difficult to ensure good grain shape.

Generally speaking, the problem of adjusting ring runout or exceeding rated power of cone crusher is caused by material jamming, eccentric feeding, uneven feeding, too much fine material in feeding, too much mud content, wrong use of crushing wall and bowl liner, or simply because the operation personnel set too small the discharge opening of cone breaking edge.

Control the fine material content in the feed

Fine material in feeding: the material entering into the stone of the crusher, whose particle size is equal to or less than the material set at the tight side discharge port. According to experience, for the two-stage cone crusher, the fine material content in the feed shall not exceed 25%; the fine material content in the three-stage cone crusher shall not exceed 10%.

Excessive fines are usually caused by the problem of vibrating screen, which may be caused by insufficient mesh diameter or screening capacity. Too much fines will lead to insufficient utilization of power and abnormal increase of unit energy consumption in the process of crushing.
